Very Very Nice! Very Spacious! Love The Dance Floor! The A/C was working well for yesterday.
On June 22, 2025, I had the pleasure of having my retirement celebration at the Hampton Roads Event Center in Newport News Va. This was the first time planning an event of this size. (100 guest) Robin was so patient with me and assisted me throughout the process. I had a committee but Robin became a committee member because I would often ask her opinion on options. I recently hosted my twin daughters’ 30th birthday celebration at Hampton Roads Event Center, and everything was absolutely perfect. The staff was professional, courteous, and incredibly helpful from start to finish. They provided beautiful table décor that really brought the room to life and helped create a warm, festive atmosphere. The venue was ideal for hosting this special occasion. Highly recommend!!
Nice place for small events of 75 people or less. 50 is probably optimal if you want seating buffet and dance floor. Parking is free but not readily available depending on business load of other businesses.
I do not often write reviews but I must take the time to write a review for Hampton Roads Event Center (HREC). In a very awkward turn of events, I found out 4 hours before a very detailed and planned Surprise Celebration that I had no venue due to unforeseen circumstances. After digesting that this was a fact, I was left with 2 hours to figure out a next step .
