This was one of my worst hotel stays ever. The room had a lot of repair issues, including wallpaper that was peeling off and secured with painters tape, missing tile and the door security bar was unusably loose. The pillows were also terrible quality, so bad that I had to leave a night earlier than intended. The hotel service was also pretty bad. For the price of this hotel they should really update the bedding and clean better. The mattresses were hard as rocks. There were what I think to be bread crumbs in my sheets and the pillows were basically air. The coffee in the room was horrible. The refrigerator made noise and leaked as it had not been defrosted in a long time. The Friendly Toast restaurant downstairs independent of the hotel made up for the subpar breakfast included with the room. Enjoyed a few days here on vacation. It was quiet, breakfast was fine, internet worked, nice space/place to do some work on my laptop in the evening, clean, and staff were friendly. The valet cost is clearly noted when you do a reservation, I just wish hotels found a better way to handle this aspects as a whole. It is a great location to walk around though, so perhaps the cost is worth it.
