Great location at Hampton Inn Portland Downtown - Waterfront, valet parking is convenient for overnight trips, breakfast is self-served, staff is friendly and room is clean.
One of the better Hampton Inns that we've stayed at over the last few years. Very clean. Staff was always on hand and responsive. Breakfast was good and facilities were sanitary. Room and common areas were clean. The location is a short walk to the harbor area, so it is very convenient. Will definitely stay here again if the need arises.
We spent the July 4 long weekend here. Overall it was a nice stay, but this hotel needs some investment. One of two elevators was down the entire weekend. There also was a mysterious wet spot on the floor in our room that somehow stayed wet most of the visit. The breakfast is standard Hampton Inn fare that desperately needs a refresh. Rooms are standard. Even so, staff were great, the location is fantastic and the pool is adequate for young kids.
