First off, I understand that people have a reason for negative reviews, but I found nothing to complain about here, except that food choices were limited within walking distance (by no fault of Hilton). Parking was great pulling a truck and trailer, which is why I spotted it in the first place. Clerk was very friendly (but didn't acknowledge me as an honors member), we came in late and were offered free delivery from grub hub, as most establishments were beyond walking distance. I've never once rated a place of business but wanted to warn people of what my family experience was. We traveled from 3 hours away for a little family vacation so our kids could enjoy the water park. When we arrived at the hotel at 4pm for check-in our room wasn't ready. We went to the water park and shortly after got told it closed at 5 and we had to leave (only frustrating because we called that day and asked what time it closed and we were told 7). The service at Hampton Inn by Hilton in Goddard, Kansas is unfortunate. From check-in, we were instructed to use the stairs with our suitcases in-hand because of the elevator wait times. The hallway floors were filled with spilt food that remained for the duration of our stay. Cups for water at the door were not restocked for the duration of our stay, and there is no water in rooms or on the floors. For what this hotel cost the breakfast should be of fantastic quality and fully stocked at all times during the breakfast window. They know they are hosting a hundred baseball boys and families playing on property and aren't on top of the food situation at all. A hotel in this price range should really have a great restaurant inside, not just poolside fair at the waterpark. The waterpark hours are pretty limited.
