I was at the hotel for a small conference. The toilet seat in the common area was broken. The reception clerk kept inserting his comments into the conference. Can't see me ever staying here.

Lackluster service and under quality accommodations. I arrived and upon entering my room discovered it had not been cleaned - unmade bed, dirty bath linen all over and food left out. Speaking with the front desk agent about this I was told “you’re not even supposed to be in that room” as if it was my fault I went to the room the hotel gave me? I stayed at the Hampton Inn in Carbondale, IL from July 30 through August 2 of this year. Being a Hilton Honors member, I made the reservation through their 800 number. We were having a family event and had a block of rooms reserved for us. When making the reservation they said that they could see the room block but couldn’t get my reservation in the block because it was full.
