Excellent hotel!
Nothing works here. My key cards wouldn't work, so I go back down stairs to get them fixed and the lady has one bad attitude that I asked to have the cards redone. Then they that the key card system was down also. I asked if they could let me in the room using one of their master keys and all I got was eye rolls. Never again. I wouldn't recommend this location for anything. They want full price for less than half of what they advertise. VERY TERRIBLE LOCATION.
On a regular trip we had stopped for the night in Marion but the Hampton is closed and this one is nearby. It turns out that Carbondale is a bigger city with more amenities. Of course it is a Hampton with all the expected amenities.
During my stay, which was one of the hottest days of the year, so far, none of the ice machines were working. Also, the pool was out. Then there was a sewage smell through the hotel and the room that I stayed in really smelled like sewage. The staff were awesome!
