BEWARE OF FRAUDULENT CHARGES: Hilton Canopy Downtown Boston has fraudulently charged my debit card twice in one day. They refuse to accept responsibility and refuse to resolve this issue in a timely manner despite complete incompetence or other factors on their end caused this issue. Their extra charges have tied up my debit card to the point it is unusable during my vacation this week. Shame on them.
My husband and I stayed here for two nights. The stay itself was fine but upon checking out they were going to charge us a smoking fee. Neither of us smoke and they printed us out a report and showed us where it detected smoke for 30 mins. They charged our card $300 and told us all we could do was file a complaint with our card company. Upon doing some research we have assumed it was my husbands asthma inhaler that set it off. This location is very prejudice and racist they constantly had issues with their rooms I had to change rooms because of a clogged drained then went to a room that was dusty and had holes in the wall after complaining they lied and said I had a noise complaint from 3 other rooms which is a lie and I only ever heard this claim after I complained about the treatment I received at this hotel ! My wife and I both are in late 60s early 70s we were on the last night of a dream vacationChecked in at Hilton ********** Waikiki on 3-10-24@ 6:45 pm , put our luggage down and went to hotel restaurant immediately.Came back to room at approximately 9 pm. Do NOT PARK HERE! We showed up on time, their shuttle left earlier than they were suppose to, so we had to pay for parking AGAIN elsewhere. The manager was extremely rude, he continued to talk over me, wouldn’t listen to what I was explaining and a complete jerk. Do not ever use this service at this hotel. They literally don’t care. We are unable to refund anything on hotels end as our shuttle was running and parking transactions are done via third party. This hotel charges a hotel parking fee but DOES NOT tell the customer about this fee until after they've charged your credit card. So...if you DO NOT park here, you must tell them or they will charge you a fee whether you parked there or not. It's an unfair business practice. Incidentally.... since I travel a lot I don't often check those travel fees but I specifically remember the hotel rate and knew there was an error. Very dirty ripped shower curtain dust on lamps got home a realized my pajamas were stolen my girlfriend said hers were stolen too !! Very upset will never stay there again
