Hampton City Treasurer’s Office is a heartless department! Here the world is in a Pandemic and this office is placing DMV stops on accounts, removing plates off of vehicles, and charging Admin and DMV stop fees. Admin fees are $30 and DMV stop fees are $25 added on top of small past due balances. Where is the compassion or assistance to work with their residences during this time? How does this happen? a little over a year and a half ago, my oldest daughter was in an accident. She was 19 and a passenger. She was taken by ambulance to the hospital. She is still working on a claim to get her medical bills paid. She missed a lot of work but is now back full time. She still has many outstanding medical bills. Hampton is ran by thieving/ lying crooks that caters to nothing but special interest groups. BTW, I'm still waiting on this office to accept the challenge that I placed on this city by coming after me for back taxes that you think I owe. Trust me "I'm ready for a fight."
