Bill, Dan & Kevin maintain and service 4 cars in our family (2 for my wife and me plus 2 for my daughter and her husband). They are professional, competent, customer-oriented and above all, very honest with us. My daughter and I recently purchased a used car from Bill to replace older cars that were ready for retirement. In both cases, the cars are excellent, have no problems, were reasonably priced and we are very satisfied. We have an excellent relationship with them and always recommend them to our friends.
My husband and I have purchased four used cars at this garage, 2 Saab's and 2 Jeeps for our children, they are used cars so we understand anything can go wrong, however, if something went wrong with a car within a period close to purchase the crew at Hampstead Garage have assisted us to fix it at no cost. We have also continued using their mechanics for maintenance of the vehicles. We have had exceptional service and would like to thank them and inform others that we have had good luck while purchasing their used vehicles.
Recently purchased a used Saab from here at a very reasonable price. There were some issues with the car, and when I brought them to their attention, they took care of all of them without any questions asked. This was the second car which I purchased here, first one was a 1996 Saab that I bought in 2005 and had serviced here. I have always been treated fairly.
We bought a car for our daughter from Hampstead Garage and got totally ripped off. I understand buying a used car is a gamble but when something goes wrong on the way home, its totally the decent thing to work with you on fixing it. This guy wasn't interesting in meeting us half way. Just saying, I like to be treated decent and I wasn't. I would never treat a paying customer like we have been treated, I would care about my reputation and business ethics.
