I would like to thank Hammond care their staff care givers and anyone involved with the care of my husband Geoff Thomas. The carers were the most giving people you could ask for. Unfortunately my husband passed this week and they looked after myself and Geoff as I stayed with Geoff until his passing. I can't thank you enough and would recommend Hammond Village to anyone looking for somewhere to have there loved one looked after with dignity and care.
I am very bitter, no one wanted to give me the job I loved, we had to return to Italy because the government refused yet another student visa, I didn't find any employer who could sponsor me and now I find myself doing jobs that I don't like or that are underpaid and I had to give up Australia where my husband and I had everything. Where do I begin? I’m just so glad my dad isn’t there anymore. Kudos to the very hard working staff that have a heart of gold. There are also many that should never work in aged care..!!

I started looking for a place for my husband who had developed dementia, i was sent places that would have been so inappropriate as my husband was not at the stage of being bed bound or needing to be fed. I thought that I would have to have my husband at home with me for good.
