Came into town for a massage class this past weekend. This quiet little cottage was just perfect. The Sauna was nice to sit and enjoy too. Gerald was so kind and accommodating. He made sure we felt welcomed and comfortable.
A quiet, off-street cottage which has all the basic amenities needed for a relaxing stay in Port Townsend. Did I say basic? How many other places can boast a sauna on site! Very affordable, thoughtful host, and provides easy access to all the area has to offer.

My wife and I stayed at the Hammond House Cottage for 2 nights recently. The owner is delightful and very helpful. The location makes for an easy walk to the uptown businesses and is private and quiet.
Stayed there a couple times now; it's very close to Old Uptown PT, which is a fun area, and a nice longer walk to Water St and Hudson Point. I agree with the previous reviewer about the Blue Moose for breakfast--it's great, and is right in the middle of the boatyard area. In the same general area is Dos Okies BBQ, which is a classic 'Q joint and very good in my opinion (and I've been doing my own Q for years) Previous reviewer failed to mention that the cottage has its own sauna and a small deck with a fenced in outdoor area... read more
