The civic center is a great venue for local events. It also has a gym with a pool. They house large events throughout the year. Recently went to see AMMA (Armour MMA). This event had people in full medieval Armour fighting in a ring like you see in the ufc. They usually have great concessions at these events. The building is old so it is quite dated. My only real complaint is the seats. Around Thanksgiving they always have a circus come to town with elephants and tigers and more.
Decent place to go see an event
The venue is outdated but honestly still felt cozy.
