i understand that a lot of people love this beach but i personally am not a fan whatsoever. the sand at hammonassett is actually painful to walk on, not due to the sun heating it up, but because it is actually sharp. this place is also sooo much more crowded than Rocky neck, like just go to Rocky neck….

Hammonasset Beach State Park was such a relaxing place to spend the day. The beach is long, wide, and clean, with plenty of space to spread out without feeling crowded. I loved walking along the shoreline with the sound of the waves and the ocean breeze, it’s the kind of place that instantly puts you at ease. What really stood out to me was how much there is to explore beyond just the beach. I wandered along the boardwalk and nature trails and enjoyed seeing birds and marsh views along the way.
