Quite honestly the other reviews are correct. They don’t notify you via mail as they should. They actively look for ways to claim other peoples property. People in the community want to leave for reasons like this among many other. Not ideal for stimulating the economy is it?
We were a few days late on our taxes for a quarter. We were charged for being late and threatened with foreclosure. So I tried to pay ahead by a quarter. The check was returned. I have also asked to set up auto pay . They won’t do this?! If Electric and gas can do this why can’t the tax collector let us set this up? I understand they are changing tax bills yearly. But gas and electric changes monthly?!

What a scam. Showed up in person tried to pay cash and they refused. Said I needed to go and get a money order. Someone owes you money they come to pay you take the money. Now the city won't let you pay property tax with cash? Glad I'm selling.
Very unprofessional. I was told I could keep a vehicle on my land by the office and then a few days later, she tells me that I just remove my vehicle and police will be there to make sure. They need to learn proper business behavior and conduct their duties within those bounds. No one ever apologized for giving me the wrong information.
