I am deeply disappointed with my experience at Hamilton Psychology. After a very rigid and unpleasant intake process—which included being pressured for payment three days in advance and being forced to put a credit card on file despite already paying via bank transfer—the actual clinical experience was even more disheartening. Really good experience overall. The reception team were friendly and easy to deal with, and they explained things in a way that made it all seem easy. I had to reschedule my first appointment and they did it with no issues. Phil was great too – easy to talk to and didn’t make anything feel awkward. I felt comfortable opening up and have been getting a lot out of sessions. First time seeing a psychologist and am really happy I decided to do it.
I had a really positive experience with Laura. She’s warm, easy to talk to, and I felt genuinely supported. I’m grateful for the care she provided. Unfortunately, my experience with the administrative side of the clinic has been quite the opposite. The level of communication around appointments felt overwhelming - with multiple calls and texts in a short space of time. While I understand follow-ups are necessary, the volume felt excessive and added unnecessary stress. What concerned me most, however, was a breach of privacy.... read more
I contacted the the clinic to get some help with ongoing issues, and was pleasantly surprised at how easy the staff made everything. They were patient and latched me with the right person to help me. I would highly recommend them if you’re in need of support!
Hamilton Psychology Clinic is a beautiful and peaceful place. The admin staff are friendly, helpful, polite, and respectful, making the whole process really easy. The rooms are cozy and relaxing, creating a great space to chat openly with your clinician. I’d recommend it to anyone looking for support with their mental health.
