I had an ambulance come to my house. The paramedic asked for my meds and health card. She put both in her paramedic bag. Once we got to the hospital she gave me back my heath card and kept my opioid meds. I've left 2 messages this week and no one has called me back. How awful to know you have a paramedic stealing patients meds. I was in too much pain to notice but my husband asked the hospital where they were and was told she left them at my house. Yesterday at around 8:09 pm, I experienced an emergency where I had to rely on a paramedic team to transport me to St. Joseph’s Hospital in downtown Hamilton. Unfortunately, one of the paramedics, a female who also drove the ambulance, treated me in a way that left me feeling unsafe and uncomfortable. She was the one responsible for buckling me in and transferring me from the bed to the chair, but she handled me roughly, bumping me into corners, which caused me physical pain. My partner called for an ambulance on Monday Sept 16 th at approximately 2:00 Pm. The ambulance was very prompt in arriving, the paramedics very attentive and assuring. I apologize for not remembering both names of the attendants but Mark and his partner picked me up at 8 Abbotsford Trail and took me to the Juravinski Hospital. They were very professional and comforting. Kudos to such great staff, Thank You Mark and Partner, Sincerely, Gordon Fendley
