I had a very dubious experience and do not feel that my money was well spent (almost $300). I had recently purchased a van and wanted a thorough check over. I stayed at the yard, and he went for a 35 min drive, came back and barely looked under the bonnet. I have been asking for an invoice, something in writing to show what work was completed. It is now 10 days later and he has not provided me with the paperwork. Very frustrating and shoddy...
Most unreliable mechanic i have ever been too, claimed to have fixed a fuel line and it is cracked and cable tied together and got charged 1.5k for the “fix” A service also cost 1.3k to drive away and errors are popping up with a check engine light. Have tried to communicate with the guy and received nothing back.
