I have never had such a horrible experience in a hospital before. I had the whole right side of my hair knotted and glued. Nobody at my preop appointment told me to put my long hair in a ponytail or a braid. So instead the surgical team knotted my hair in a bunch of tiny knots and bunched it into one big knot, not anywhere near my incision. Nobody offered help to get it out, and one surgical team member sarcastically said to me "we don't all know how to braid hair". This review doesn’t reflect the staff I actually came to see today, as I have pretty average care when I’ve needed to visit this location for emergency and specialist purposes. This review is solely intended to address the hospital itself and lack of care overall when it comes to basic standards that should be met. The place is outdated and dirty, worse than other hospitals offering the same level and amount of care. I visited the hospital last night and want to say the staff were hardworking, attentive, and very kind. Their dedication to patients really stood out and made a stressful situation easier. That said, I was very concerned about the state of cleanliness. As a former Quality Assurance Inspector, I couldn’t help but notice several hygiene issues that fall below proper standards.
