I live about 10 min from Hamby Chevrolet so I have used them for my oil changes the last 3 or 4 times. Never again. A simple 8 qt oil change takes 2 hours. I took my tahoe in yesterday for an oil change. At the hour mark I let them know I needed to leave for another appointment in 30 min. I was told the service person was adding oil and doing a multi-point inspection. An inspection I did not ask for. This review is for the service department. I took my truck in for recalls and informed the Service adviser that my MY GMC app didn’t work. Also told him that my brakes scrub when going into reverse. Upon picking my vehicle, I get a call saying it’s $175. I asked why, he said diagnostics. Now as a previous service advisor myself, I was always told to notify the customer of any work being performed and cost. I was unaware of the cost of diagnostics but forced to pay it.
