Nice beach but the food place is never open
A month ago, my white friend and I planned to meet at this park, even though neither of us lives in Hamburg Town. He arrived before me and was allowed in without any problems after speaking with an older lady at the entrance. But when I got there, she told me that I couldn’t enter unless I was a resident of Hamburg. I asked her if she was sure, and she angrily replied that this rule had existed for over 200 years. There are signs posted that say "NO DOGS ALLOWED ON PREMISES", yet people continually let their dogs roam free across the sand of the beach, letting them deficate on the sand without picking it up and just kicking sand over it to cover it up. I have called the Hamburg Town Police several times about incidents like these and they just don't care! There is a leash law in NY state and still these town cops don't care! Would they care if I deficated on the beach and then just covered it up with sand? Last summer, I actually step... read more
