When you father has a major stroke, it's so hard to know the best place for him where he'll have the best chance to get better. I believe Brooks was the best place. Definitely they have some areas that need improvement, but the majority of the staff were excellent, especially the doctors, therapists, and administration. Their equipment and protocols are very good. Staffing is (as usual in health care), the biggest concern. They are desperately short on speech therapists. All the staff at Brooks has been amazing and helpful. Kim has been there for me since the beginning of my journey and without her I wouldn't have ended up on the correct path to recovery. I look forward to returning for full recovery after my procedures.
One of the best places I've seen for rehabilitation.The nurses and staff are very nice.
The charge nurse tonight, Miss Irish has done a wonderful job. Taking care of me. This lady has stepped in so much to help me get back on my feet please whoever ever comes to this hospital to the rehabilitation side Brooks on the ninth floor. Don’t get these ladies any problems they will take care of you. They will get you what you need and get you back on your feet. I’ve never said this before but I’m saying it now. Mike the P.A has done an outstanding putting Humpty Dumpty back together again. Once again, I can’t speak for the experience on the ER side, but I can speak for the experience I’ve had on the Brookdale rehabilitation site fountain Tower, a freaking rock. Just like anything else in this world treat others how you want to be treated cheat on respect and kindness, and give them time to take care of what they need to.
