While Dr Buch may be competent, his office staff is not. I've waited weeks for them to follow-up and contact my insurance company for an authorization on a procedure they say is necessary. I call every few days -- no one answers the phone, so I have to leave messages. Lousy service from "the best" local gastro.
I saw Dr. Buch for a routine colonoscopy this past spring. Directly after the procedure while I was in the recovery room he and I discussed some symptoms I was having with my gastro-intestinal system and he recommended an endoscopy. I scheduled that with him and he performed it. After that, I met with one of his assistants in his offices, and she said he recommended another endoscopy using a capsule camera (swallowed) to see into my small intestine. I had that done. I can’t say enough great things about Dr. Buch and his staff!! I have been a patient there for 20 years. I am one of those nervous patients and they ease my anxiety as soon as I walk in the door! They are all so professional and caring! I highly recommend Dr. Buch!!
Dr. Hal Buch, and Nurse Practitioner Marisa Flanagan at Buch Gastroenterology are tops in the hudson valley. Both the office at 117 Mary's Ave, Kingston and the surgical center staff have the best positive energy. RNJen delage at the surgical center excels in her bed side manner, knowledge, and practical skills. Thank you to all.
This office has horrible billing practices. I was seen for an endoscopy and received my first bill, thru a text, which states PAST DUE NOTICE with all those warnings. They did not disclose my results until I called repeatedly. They then send me a bill thru text, for the first time, threatening that it is past due. The bill is very expensive and this is not the way to treat your patients.
