I have only seen Dr. Jia once, as a new patient. She was polite, efficient, and listened to my concerns. I found her to be personable and caring. She gave me a referral to a specialist immediately. Given that she is my 7th PCP since moving to the Cape 11 years ago, I just hope she doesn't move or retire!
I always have the most disappointing and frustrating experiences with Dr. Jia. From the moment I walk in, it is clear that the focus is not on patient care. You end up spending significantly more time with the nurse than with the doctor, which should never happen in a medical setting. When I finally meet with the doctor, her demeanor is cold and dismissive. The most carelessness I have ever experienced. I left several inquiries and waited ample time and never a response. She just is not interested in my concerns for my health.
Would give zero stars if I could. Dr Jia wasn’t willing to help me figure out my health issues because apparently “other people were worse off than me”. She also scoffed at me multiple times when I asked questions, never replied to any emails I sent, and refused to give referrals.
