We (2 adults, 2 kids) stumbled across the Hairy Feet Tour near Waitomo completely by chance, and we’re so grateful we did — it was absolutely amazing. The moment we arrived, the beauty of the place swept us away. We were warmly welcomed in the tour office, which is decorated with so much love and detail that you instantly feel the passion for the Hobbit and Lord of the Rings films. Amazing! Both the hosts are incredible, absolutely worth it
Better than Hobbiton? No. Just as good? Absolutely! You’d be crazy not to do both tours. We were never rushed — it was detailed, immersive, and so full of passion. It didn’t feel scripted at all; you could really feel the genuine love and enthusiasm throughout the entire experience.
Beautifull location where you can learn a lot about how the Hobbit is filmed. The people of the farm are really enthusiastic and warm.
My girlfriend and I had a great time with this tour! The farm owner was very friendly and helped everyone with their photos. A must for fans of the Hobbit movies- they shot a surprising amount of stuff here.
