My daughter and I have been coming to this salon for nearly two years, and we’ve spent thousands of dollars here. The customer service has never been great, but our hair usually turned out well, so we overlooked it. After today’s experience, we will not be returning. We had a 9:30 a.m. appointment, but no one started on our hair until 11:30 a.m. We sat for two hours with no communication or apology. It was obvious they were short-staffed. I don't typically leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience. I paid an $80 deposit to secure my appointment, which I understood was to reserve my scheduled time. Shortly before my appointment, I was asked by the salon to come two hours later than my original appointment time. While I understand that unexpected scheduling changes can happen, I had to rearrange my own schedule to accommodate the change. I originally booked an appointment in January, but due to inclement weather the appointment understandably needed to be cancelled. The owner sent me a text regarding the cancellation and asked if I wanted to reschedule. At the time, I informed the owner that I wanted to reschedule, but wasn’t sure when and asked if they wanted to wait for me to text back to reschedule or did they want to process a refund for my deposit, the owner said they would wait for me. I absolutely love my braids! Hair You Go Braiding did an amazing job. The parts are clean, the braids are neat, and the style came out exactly how I wanted it. I've received so many compliments already. What I appreciated most is that they are efficient and professional. They mean business and don't have you sitting in the salon all day.
