Very disappointing. Hair cut and color were good enough, however, Erica cancelled me two times. Once 35 minutes before the appointment and the last time seven minutes before the appointment. Both times I had arrived at the salon after making arrangements for my day (I am busy too!) Erica has a policy that if you do not cancel 24 hours before she will charge--but clients are not afforded the same courtesy. It is always suspect whether a hairstylist knows how to work with curly hair, or not. Thus I tried calling this place to ask if she works with 3A type curls as a matter of course. One would think that a simple query would be easy to answer, but not so for this place. 5 calls. 5 calls over 3 days at different times and not a single answer, nor a single reply to my e-mails. If you are looking for a beautiful and above all healthy change, you should go with Erica really her hands are magic, she can make you look amazing and take care of your hair at the same time. The atmosphere is very calm and relaxing, visit your living room I recommend it!!!
Being new to Santa Fe, I was on the hunt for a new stylist and this summer met Erica at the Best of Santa Fe 2025 celebration at the Railyard. (Hair Essentials by Erica was voted #1). I was impressed by her energy and charisma. Recently I enjoyed the wonderful experience of visiting her salon and had the best haircut ever. In October I had a very bad experience at a salon who damaged my hair beyond what I thought could t be repaired. I was depressed and insecure about my hair. I met Erica and scheduled a cut and botox and Erica made the experience comfortable amd the outcome looks amazing. Erica answered my questions and made my experience amazing.
