I went to this salon not long ago for what I expected to be a straightforward hair-straightening service. I explained to the owner that my hair is thin with natural waves and frizz at the roots, and that I did not want curls because they are difficult to maintain and don’t suit me. The service I received was not what I had requested: Curlers were applied to part of my hair without my agreement. No shampoo wash was done before the chemical treatment.
