I got my hair done recently at Hair By Susy and was initially happy with the results. I got bohemian knotless braids and unfortunately, about two days after getting my hair done, the bohemian end pieces were starting to unravel from the rest of the hair. After getting my hair done Saturday, I reached out to them Tuesday and showed pictures of several braids with the end pieces unraveling from the rest of the hair and mentioned that 10 or so pieces already fully came out. Today was my first time visiting Hair By Susy. I wanted a wash and quick straight back braids. My hair was done by Hair Artist Renèe. I told her I only wanted a wash, with no blow-dry and she was open to my request and didn’t show any reluctance. I appreciate her willingness to try and to listen to me as the client. Renèe took it a step further and sewed the hanging ends of the cornrows up just like I asked her. On top of that she asked me if I wanted beads. I recently had a horrible experience with HairbySusy and warn against using their services. I feel bamboozled. I got a style that cost over $1000. This style was with human hair and I was told would last at least two months. Within just three weeks, even with proper care (wearing bonnet at night, etc.) the hair was completely unravelling. I had to use rubberbands to keep the hair from falling apart. (Edited to address owner reply below) Hi - I raised my concern and questions when I was in the salon. I was told that you were contacted and advised to put explicitly on the website that hair is not included. That was not done. Furthermore there’s a price differential between human and not human for the same style and service…what’s the price difference if not for the different hair? You’re not clear and it’s misleading.
