I have been to Haines and didn't want to leave. We live in Hawthorne, NV. Alaska is where I wanted to live. What beautiful country. If you’re coming outside of the normal operation hours, be sure to call! The staff here are amazing, but we are a small community. There is a black phone by the entrance of the building, which you can pick up and it will call the emergency on-call nurse.
