You’d be better off performing a medical procedure on yourself than waiting to be seen at PeaceHealth’s emergency room. It felt like they were randomly picking and choosing who to see, with no clear system in place. I waited for two hours, and there were people who had been there even longer still waiting. Very slow took my kid with really emergency service needed but wait time is huge.
I walked in an was immediately greeted with a very rude “ can I help you “, when I walked up to the lady I wasn’t sure exactly what to start with as I’m barely 18 & have never been to the emergency room without my mom. I started by asking what the wait time would be and expressing how I was feeling. I came into the ER last night (8/30/24) after having about 15 mini seizures. I can't speak higher of the staff at Peacehealth St Joseph. They were on their A game, professional, informative and overall genuinely caring. I pray I don't have any more medical emergencies but if I do, I'm 100% coming here. Thank you to Dr. Mcneilly and all the staff that treated me. God bless all of you.
Only critique is the lobby, which I had to wait for two hours in severe pain (I needed emergency appendix surgery). I know it’s a tough work around as it can be hard to base the severity of everyone’s injuries, but there has to be a better way to deal with those situations. Once I made it into the ED, everyone was absolutely lovely. The surgical team was very informative, and made me feel safe throughout the whole process. Hats off to them and everyone working back there
