Went to Haggen for an apple fritter. Most grocery bakeries are making them elsewhere and heating them up at the store. Jackie, the Baker manager proudly told me that the make the apple fritters fresh and from scratch there. She listed all the items at the bakery that was fresh. Then we met Nikki, the lead baker. I could tell that Jackie was a great manager because Nikki was so happy at her job. The bakery staff gets there early in the am so you can have fresh baked good today. Lots of variety and specialty item. A large selection in bakery, candies, alcohol, hot food prepared foods, deli food and other things. Higher prices on average grocery items and ridiculous prices on household items. The staff is hit and miss. The store is clean and well organized. It's a overall expensive grocery store but has a wide selection and usually isn't very busy.
