Our favorite place to get fresh smoked fish. Hagen's has been there forever. They smoke the fish fresh every Mon., Wed., and Fri. and the coleslaw is the best.

smoked chubs It's been a while since we've visited Hagens.....and we were a bit disappointed. Bought several pounds of smoked chubs.....smoked salmon...cod....and shrimp. The smoked chubs were the biggest disappointment...they certainly weren't fresh, a bit tough and dry. Could have been much better.

Still have it! This was a favorite place for fried shrimp in the 50s. We recently were in the city again and bought some. They were as delicious as ever. However, they've gotten chintzy and now charge for the hot sauce, which came with the shrimps years ago! They certainly charge enough. I think 2 TBLS. of sauce could be included.

Best in the Northwest (side that is) – My family and I have been going to Hagens for 30+ years at least. We never have been disapointed with anything that has been served (better said, passsed over the counter). We have brought our catches to be smoked we have ordered everything from their famous fried shrimp to their smoked sturgeon to their hush puppies (corn fritters). A great store for fish and more My brother and his friends started talking about this place many years ago, so I wanted to check it out. I'm glad I did. You can't eat inside, so you get everything to go. During nice weather, there are a couple small tables and chairs outside the store. They are famous on the Northwest side for their fresh fish. fresh seafood. They have wide selection of seafood to choose from & offer raw and or cooked items for your convience. They also offer smoked fish,which we love to buy and for those who have their own fresh fish they caught,they do offer to smoke yours for you.Whether your looking for a snack or dinner this place aims to please..Service is great and prompt. Plenty of parking on the street.
