I called the surgery on Friday afternoon as my elderly mother who I care for was unwell. I received a callback from the GP who arrange for one of their Health Centre Paramedics to come out to see her. The Paramedic arrived within 45 mins of my initial call. He treated my mother so well and with dignity After examination he advised on best course of action. Fantastic service and a credit to Hadrian Health Centre. Thank you to Adam and all staff involved.
Before the pandemics and the big more, Portugal Place was a good surgery. Now all the long team doctors left, and have been slowly replaced with salaried doctors. No named doctors, no consistency in care, most the time they do not read note to have a understanding of the whole picture. Gaslighted seems to be normal practice. Reception staff not all but some seem to thick there job is as gatekeepers to stop you accessing the system. Like most the institutions in this country the doctors are not fit for purpose. Can't get any appointment. Tried ringing at 8, long queue, requested a call back only to be told they have no appointments. This is not a one off it happens frequently. Don't bother with it!!!!!!!!!
