The horses were calm and beautiful, as was the beach we rode through! Thank you Baerbel and Tessa for all the new knowledge 🫶
This horse trek was beautiful and relaxing. We did the beach trek, my daughter got to ride in the waves and she was ecstatic. The horses were really well trained and friendly, they looked really well looked after. The owner, Baerbel, was amazing at riding and teaching us to ride. Overall it was a fantastic experience and we recommend it to anyone who is adventurous and loves trying out new things.
Nice find on the map traveling around Nelson and to see golden bay, arrived with a warm welcome and shown around the home with excellent accommodations. Very comfortable stay, outstanding host, would come back again!
Baerbel gave my five year old the best lesson she has ever had (and she started intermittent lessons age 3), improving her confidence and balance within minutes of getting on one of the most gentle horses I have met. Not only that, she started with an unexpected tour of the chickens (to my daughter’s delight), and taught her some basic grooming too. Last week, I booked the 2-hour beach ride with Babel, and it was truly wonderful. The scenery was stunning, and I also learned a lot about improving my balance while riding — more than I ever did during lessons back home, even as an experienced rider. The horses are very well cared for, and the ambiance is fantastic. She also takes plenty of photos, which make for great memories. I would highly recommend this place and hope to come back one day!
