Today I was at Hackensack Hospital for a CT scan. I had an appointment scheduled for 6:00 AM, but I was only seen at 7:20 AM. They have terrible management, because the service is awful, and it's absurd to wait 1 hour and 20 minutes for a CT scan. When you ask what's happening, they just say "we're a little behind. You'll be seen in a few minutes." And they keep making you wait. When I said I was leaving and wouldn't be doing the scan anymore, they told me I would be seen in 5 minutes. I'm currently sitting in the MRI department, and I'm compelled to share my frustrating experience. The staff here seem to be struggling to find a suitable vein for a contrast MRI on a 10-year-old child. They're attempting to access veins on the top of the fingers, which is not only painful but also unnecessary. A more suitable location could be the antecubital fossa (inner elbow) or even a vein on the forearm. Do yourself a favor people and don’t go to this place. We had an appointment at 12 my little one. She had not eaten for more than 12 hours she was frustrated and hungry and wanted to eat. All paperwork was filled out and were still about 2 hours in the waiting room. Forget this one next issue is the anesthesiologist blond hair lady she was a cold blooded person. I have a prescription from my doctor to do a mri, and the insurance also approved it. But the radiology department insist me to do a mammogram first, which my surgeon told me I can not undergo a mammogram! There are many different imaging methods to examine, but the radiologist here may feel that all other doctors are wrong, and if you want to get a scan here you can only get a certain one according to his/ her idea.
