My friend has been a long-term resident at Hackensack Meridian Health Nursing and Rehab for over five years, and while there are staff members who provide excellent care—especially in the mornings and one particular evening nurse who consistently treats him with respect and attention—the overall level of care is inconsistent and concerning. If I could leave no starts I would. My mom had scheduled an MRI and insurance didn't cover it all so she had to pay money out of pocket. Well, insurance denied the MRI so my mom attempted to get her money back in a timely fashion the usual 5 to 7 business days that it takes to return the money. Nope Hackensack Meridian has now had her money for over 30 days!! They say it takes 30 to 45 days for a refund of money. This is total BS!!! Cost is above the roof. I went Hackensack hospital with my son's fractured leg. They did nothing but sent me thousands of dollars bill. I set it up payment plan and I missed it couple months after paying 5 monthly payments. They did not even sent me reminder even they had my email address in file as well. I received final notice to pay bills within 15 days. Even this final notice they sent me by mail, they transfer to collection agency within 7 days of notice date.
