Terrible experience. Not naming the physician here to maintain professionalism - however, while seated in the hall way of their ED with my spouse overhead this person stating “I told the charge nurse multiple times that I won’t be seeing anymore patients, I leave at 10 pm” at 8:30-8:45 pm. I recommend higher ups to review the cameras that night as proof. Waited 2+ hours to be assessed by A provider (nurse, np, pa, md, do). As an educated patient whose had some horrific experiences with health care, I have to say Dr Gerstel and his staff addressed my many questions and observations and delivered an attentive, kind , professional, comprehensive assessment and treatment plan.
I went to the ER because I was feeling extremely sick without anybody at the ER knowing because how would they know a nurse named JoJo passive aggressively walks in the room makes a grunting noise and says you really think you couldn’t have gone to your doctor before coming to the ER That was the most passive aggressive and horrible thing to say to a patient who is under distress. So long waiting time for a small thing over 3hrs. They only have 1 doctor working in ER. I did ask for some water and the nurse didn’t bring it until +25minutes later. The garbage was full with trash from another patient. Also, the front desk was kinda racist because I talked in Spanish when I entered. DON’T GO OVER THERE.
horrible they don’t care about you or your time. nurses were laughing and playing around while i felt like i was going blind.
