Not good – Don't waste your time. The food is mediocre at best and while the view isn't bad, it also isn't worth going there for.
Don't waste your time. – I read the reviews, visitied the website, and then made the mistake of giving this place a shot. I knew better than to dine there even as I walked up to the door, but didn't listen to my gut. The service was fine, but the food came out of a can, or a box, or both. This was just bad, bad, bad.
A little disappointed – My parents anniversary, looking for an interesting new place.Saw the review online, decided to try it.The only four in the restaurant @6:30, the owner/manager(?) was not very accomodating,no follow-up to inquire about our satisfaction with the food or the experience, no "thanks for trying us, come back!".Steaks were over-cooked but tenderness/taste made up for it, the tilapia was dry.Ceviche is excellent;nice view.As a new restaurant establishing a clientele, more attention should be given to patrons.
Worth a Try – My husband and I ate at Meson del Sol this weekend and really enjoyed our meal. (My husband is from Venezuela, so he's often hard to please when it comes to traditional South American food.) We were pleasantly surprised! The view of the Houston skyline is beautiful. BYOB as they do not yet have their liquor license. The only minor improvements would be decor and lighting - the restaurant looked more like a banquet hall than a romantic restaurant.
An upscale Midtown restaurant with a menu spanning South and Central America. – In Short Part Argentinean steakhouse, part Peruvian specialty restaurant and part Colombian bistro, Meson del Sol's menu is as dynamic as the staff is friendly. Diners enjoy such appetizers as fresh ceviche, stuffed mushrooms, smoked salmon and escargot. Main courses span from filet del sol to grilled carne asada to pasta. A picture window affords a great view of the Houston skyline and if the weather cooperates, the patio is the place to be.
Hacienda Del Sol has no reviews yet.
Hacienda Del Sol is closed now. It will open tomorrow at 9:00 a.m.
