Get one of the Upnit lodges - warm, cosy, well appointed and with everything you need to stay fresh and comfortable during your stay or recover from a day on the ocean or the trails. An exceptional stay! The Malsit Pub is also delicious. The sauna in our rooms was amazing after hiking for 7 days and the water taxi picked us up right outside on kingfisher dock!
Absolutely perfect. Stayed here after our trip down the West Coast Trail and we really couldn't have asked for more. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and just good people. The place had everything we needed including laundry and even a sauna! Really great food and right on the water. Perfect.
Bare bones, not to say spartan, the Hacas Inn takes full advantage of the extremely limited accommodation options in Bamfield, charging ludicrously inflated prices for what you get. The hotel has been renovated but retains a lot of the original stigma it earned over the years. Cigarette burns in the bathroom, old plumbing fixtures, painted over millwork etc. It was, however, just about acceptably clean. We stayed here for a night before hitting the West Coast Trail. The hotel was exactly what we needed; great location (and right next to the general store in town), clean, comfortable, and equipped with microwave and fridge. Service was friendly and easy.
Great location, rooms were clean and staff was lovely. Would recommend this stay!
