I moved to area about 2.5 years ago and just a few days in started shopping at True Value Hardware, Hockessin for all my home (and sometimes auto) needs (including my Weber gas grill bought my first week here). Wonderfully stocked with all you need at great prices, and you and no massive store to work your way through--you are in and out in minutes. Above all, fantastic staff, always someone a few steps away, very friendly and extremely knowledgeable.
DON'T rent their equipment. They delivered mine broken and then sued me for it. The manager (Linglestown) is a disrespectful bully who doesn't listen and then lies about anything that doesn't suit him. His employees, including delivery driver, do the same. Terrible experience from start to finish. At all costs, go elsewhere for whatever you need!!!!!
I have meant to leave a review for months, but todays experience prompted me to do so. I have had several customer service issues with this particular store, but have continued to come back because they are convenient. No more! Never, I don’t care how far I have to drive to their competition! Stopped by today to arrange a week long rental on a high lift. I was treated like a criminal. All i want is my pay pleease.
Went there to purchase a generator but was having and issue with my card. Manager would not speak to bank person who wanted to help. He would not speak to person and treated me very rudely. Asked me to leave store and not come back. Poor sad person with no business being a manager. No customer service skills. I will spread the.
A well stocked store, with a great paint department featuring top quality brands. The service is outstanding too. 👍🏼

So had a shower arm issue where i had tightened the shower head too tight and streaked the threads on arm totally. I had bought a new arm from them but realized it doesn't go tight to the wall and showerhead was loose. Looking at my old one i realized it has threads that go on both sides of wall to make secure. He couldn't find what i needed so he grinded down the old one so i could attach a new showerhead. I was happy so ask about a crank handle for a window in bthrm low and behold there was the new arm i needed also! Work... read more
If you are a woman, do not EVER apply for a job here! The Indian guy, PK, who is manager, is a creep! I am a former employee (using a pseudonym), and he sexually harassed two women who worked there that had to quit because of his antics, and he is still allowed to work there! There is some shady things going on in this place!! If I could have given no stars I definitely would have!
