Really disappointing experience. Several of the cuts had a very noticeable unpleasant smell and did not seem fresh at all. The marinated meats were slightly better at masking the smell, but the seasoning was way too heavy — overly sweet and salty to the point where you could barely taste the meat itself. I’ve had better experiences at Gyu-Kaku before, but the quality and freshness of the meat at this location were well below expectations. For a yakiniku restaurant, fresh meat should be the absolute minimum.
Awesome food and great service
Great lunch spot. Wish they had a premium yakitori option for slightly better quality meats but was still pleased with the overall lunch.
