A Unique Dining Experience Ya see, they bring you the meat and you cook it at your table. It certainly makes things fun, but you probably don't get the best cooked meal this way. The miso salad is spectacular.

Average Honestly, Gyu Kaku is not the best place to have korean barbeque. Although it does have good meat, i don't believe that you get what you pay for. The amount of food that you get per plate is maybe enough for one or two people depending on one's appetite. The bill can get pretty pricey in the end, and if you drink alcohol, it will be even more. The service is average and the menu options are not very original. If you want korean barbeque for your money, i believe there are better places in korea town where you get wha... read more

Fun times Everybody loves Gyu-Kaku. From the outside, it looks kind of like a hole in the wall establishment, but once inside it is definitely more refined. Cooking your own food is fun, but beware. You literally will cook your own food so it sort of ends up as well(and as sanitary) as you can cook. My friends love this place. I am a terrible cook, so this place scares me.

Delicious Korean BBQ I love this place! They bring you well seasoned meat, shrimp and/or chicken and you cook it right at you table and the best part is they give so many sides to go along with it. Reasonably priced and would highly recommend.

Great grilled beef This is a top-notch bbq place. The meat is fresh and the vegetables are not overcooked. We particularly like the happy-hour when I can make it in time.

Good Food, Crazy wait This place is almost always packed with people. It's a Japanese Barbecue restaurant, where they bring you deliciously marinated meats and veggies to cook on a grill embedded on your table. It's very tasty, and they give some pretty good portions. Service is good too, as they will switch out a new grill for you if it looks like the current grill has been cooking awhile. The wait for this place is too crazy to ignore, however, as you can end up waiting for an hour or more, due to the slow nature of the co... read more

awesome for carnivores I love this place. I also go to the one on Wilshire. Went to a birthday party there last week with a large group and it was great. We spent a fortune on food and booze, but it was worth it. If you're a carnivore, this place is for you. You actually get to grill your own meat! chicken, beef, pork, seafood, if it moves, you can grill it. If your girlfriend is a vegetarian don't bring her here (unless you want to break up with her). It's actually a good first date place because it's fun atmosphere. In cas... read more

The Dinner you and your Family will Remember Everytime I go to Gyu-Kaku, it's fresh and very satisfying. When you walk in you are immediately greeted by a friendly staff. The food isn't too expensive, however, it's not too cheap either. What makes this restaurant special is that you cook your own food. You can choose from a large selection of meats, fishes, vegetables, and rice dishes. You cook all of these (except the rise dishes) on a charcoal grill placed in the middle of the table.
