My child was seen by Dr. Callies and received an Autism diagnosis. The two of us received quite a bit of help through his office. I have not experienced any problems with communication with his staff, but I don't have recent experience trying to get an initial appointment. What I did experience was the care and kindness from Dr. Callies and his staff, which encouraged me to pursue special education as a career so that I can help the children and families who needed it after receiving their diagnoses. Dr. Callies’ admin is an absolute mess. If you need to get answers about appointments and insurance in a timely manner, don’t bother with them. In September I made three appointments for my child starting in December as these were the soonest available. On November 14, after a few weeks of both myself and my insurance company trying to contact them, Dr. Callies’ office called me to tell me they were canceling my three appointments because my insurance didn’t meet the requirement to put us in-network.
