Love this gyms equipment, I don’t like their hours though. Not open on holidays and closes early on the weekends, not great for shift workers. And I also wish there was A designated area for stretching and mobility so people don’t default to doing that stuff on the turf
This is a great gym, such a community feel and I've met some amazing gym goers here! The equipment is great and it's never too busy. However, the overall feel has gone down in the last year or so. The staff are generally a bit snooty and don't really do much. The weights are often racked poorly and randomly half of the carabiners on the cable machines will be missing. They also forced everyone to download their new app to be able to check in. Please go back to key cards!! The app takes forever to load up.
I cancelled my membership at Gym MVMT today after a very frustrating experience. I arrived ready to work out and brought my scan card as usual. When I tried to check in, I was told I could not enter without downloading their new app. I offered to provide my phone number and explained that I was in a rush and would download the app later, but the trainer at the front desk refused to let me in. Awful gym, forces you to download an app just to sign you. You still have to scan in so it's a waste. Can't pay by credit card, you have to bring a void cheque. Other gym options elsewhere with less headaches.
The gym is always super clean, and the staff are very nice.
