History Established in 1976. Gymboree's story began in 1976 when Joan Barnes, a mother from Marin County, California, tried to find a safe, fun place featuring age-appropriate activities for parents and young children to play together. Unable to do so, she did what any innovative, entrepreneurial mom would; she started her own program! We recently just relocate to GA, in the beginning the reason we choose Gymboree was just because it's near to where we live now. Soon as we started the first trial class, I know it's the right place for my 14M baby girl. Schedules are flexible, price is reasonable, and the teachers are very nice and full of enthusiasm. I can tell that she is learning from play. Hunter had such a good time and made so many new little friends. I was getting worried about him not socializing with other babies while he's just at home with me, but he seemed very very happy to play with his new friends .Miss Jill was so funny and lively and happy and really made the experience very fun for all of us. This was just our free trial class but we are definitely going to be members very very soon.
