This review is in regards to the BASE battery power backup service that GVEC agreed to participate in. Customers should be wary of this program as it seems to be blatant false advertising and seems like a classic bait and switch scam. The email they sent out to their customers and put their company name on (GVEC) states that the whole thing will cost 390 dollars plus deposit 50. One must put the deposit down for eligibility. can not get past auto phone to speak to a human. Some one needs to shake these people up.
Being Rural, is in my opinion, the Best life. The Best life becomes a little less than best when your income depends on five little bars, that over the past 6 months have been bouncing between 2 to 3. Waking in the morning and seeing if its going to be a 3 bar day or a 2 sets the mood and schedule. Needless to say, business has been slow and so has the internet / wifi. Cannot thank GVEC and their tree trimming contractors enough. I called in a hazardous tree and the contractor was out with 48 hrs to remove it. They cut the wrong “dead” tree initially but when I called back in to notify them, GVEC went out of their way to get the contractor back out same day. Ironically, the original tree fell shortly after the contractor left and brushed the lines due to wind and recent rains. Staff was very friendly and quick when it came to trimming trees and installing the fiber optic at my home. Mia was very friendly as well with great communication
