Great service and good mechanics no problem here
I brought my car in to get it checked because of noise concerns, I thought the brakes were worn or something. Brakes were fine, but according to the mechanic that checked my car, the front inner cv boots were torn so I got a quote for a replacement (900 dollars). I got a MUCH better quote at another place and when they looked at the car they found that all cv the boots were totally fine and did not need replacing… I am a young woman so I guess they thought it would be worth a try to rip me off. Communication was great. They did great work and got our caravan back on the road in time for summer. Price seemed fair as well.
Ever since I moved to CHCH I have struggled to find a mechanic that was consistent, reliable, affordable and honest. Ever since finding Guys Garage, I have always gone back. The service is amazing and I highly recommend this business to anyone needing mechanical work completed on their car/vehicle.
“I had a very poor experience with this workshop. They overcharged me on tyres by around 30% compared to normal market prices, then tried to add an extra $300 to the job, which I had to dispute. Later, they attempted to increase the quote for the power steering pump replacement from $1,000 to $2,000 — double the original price. When I questioned the pricing, their customer service was rude and aggressive. I found their pricing and attitude both unprofessional and misleading. I would not recommend this workshop to anyone.”
