Dr. John Treves is one of the best neurosurgeons in the country. Some years ago I had some serious back pain and losing my ability to walk at all. I worked with an orthopedic surgeon who told me that I was not a candidate for surgery but for a number of years he gave me injections in the spine. Very disappointed. Didn’t believe our MRI report-“ they have to write something “. No treatment plan. No discussion. Just take more meds.

I woke up during surgery. Be The pain was excruciating and the anesthesiologist noticed me moving my head and put me back under. The found it amusing when I brought this up during my follow up appt. There wasn't anything funny about the pain. I don't trust this doctor and would not recommend him. Didn't he take an oath to "do no harm"? This experience left me with fear of surgery. The surgery itself was not a success & I need to have it redone. I will use a better surgeon this time.
I am so grateful for Dr. Music, and his staff. After my MRI, Dr Music explained the results, and my options, that would best relieve my severe leg pain, numbness, and back issues. Since I had already gone through getting the shots, I opted for surgery which he also felt would be best. He patiently explained everything, and his staff was so helpful, that they made the process so easy. The surgery facility, and staff, were exceptional as well.
