I was very happy with the service that I got here. The eye tests were so professional and gentle - I always get nervous. The staff were really nice about helping me select a few nice glassesf rames. In the end I bought from Styleyes down the road only because I found frames that suited my shaped of face. I made a terrible mistake of going into the place at 416 called Optique de Paris to look at frames. The nastiness and hostile atmosphere there was very disturbing. Matthew and Andea are fantastic, make our lives easy etc. However, I have decided to cease to be a client as from today as I was unable to order contact lenses due to a non-collaborative staff member. If I phone up to order something I have always ordered and explain why, then I do not want to have my time wasted with excuses/reasons and NOT be able to order them. It took 5 minutes to find a new place to take my business.

I have been a patient at Gutteridge, Douglas and Wells for almost 30 years. Dr Mathew Wells is kind and caring but above all thorough and professional in his examinations. Mathew Wells now looks after my children as well and I trust him wholeheartedly. I wouldn't take my family to any other optometrist.

I have always in the past gone with the store chains, but thought that a private practice, one without a bias would be best. I was very happy with the service and thoroughness of the examination. The cost was comparable to Opsm, the frames were of better weight, and lenses better suited to my eyes. I have the blue light filter lenses, and my eyes feel a lot better
