Dr. James Gutte is a very excellent vet!! Back when my Grampa took his dogs to the vet Gutte would treat them as his own.. I am thinking about switching vets and going to Owatonna vet and Gutte. Long story short would recommend Gutte for those who are Leary about which vet service to take their four legged friend! :):):)
We have used the services of Owatonna Veterinary Hospital for many years. Dr. Gute, Dr Bauer and their staff are excellent. They have taken great care of our Cocker Spaniel, cat and Bulldog over the years.
After having several local vets mis-treat our Turkish Angora cat, Dr. Gute was recommended to us. Its a 30 mile drive, but our cat hadnt been getting better for over a year. On the first visit they correctly identified the issue and started a course of treatment that properly resolved the condition. We thought we might lose that cat and love her dearly. My experience with Dr. Gute has been that he is reserved but decidedly compassionate.Dr. Bauer and Dr. Gute have been there for our family through the pain of two elderly animals declines. They worked for years to maintain a good quality of life for our "kids" and were supportive when it was time to let go. They put up with frantic middle of the night phone calls, no-charge visits to check up on medication changes, and all of our pets personal quirks.I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a family vet.
I have had, Dr. Tami Bauer, at Owatonna Veterinary Hospital take care of all 8 of my animals. She knows her stuff and is very caring and goes the extra mile for us and the animals! I recommend her to anyone I come in contact with. I also dont believe the prices are any higher than other clinics in this area.
Not too impressed with this animal hospital. Doctors are stagnant in their experience. They can be cold, sarcastic, and unfeeling towards their animal patients and pet owners. Their fees are exhorbitant compared to other animal clinics. Be wary when visiting here. In fact, Id say stay away, especially if your have an older animal. i have a cocker who went there for 4 years.. she got a cherry eye.. after she got it removed it came back! i contacted the vet and he said there is a high percentage that it comes back.. i was not told this in the begining.. and i have to fully repay for the procedure.. i contacted 6 other vets and they said.. if the cherry eye comes back they do the secound procedure at no cost.. is it the money? it really makes me wonder.. if my friend was in good hands and even if the procedure was done.. or if my dogs eye was cut open an... read more
