Fried okra and green tomatoes were great. Came out super crispy. Fried chicken was okay. Sides are terrible. We got 4 different ones and they were all mediocre to bad. Just standard BBQ style sides, I'm not a fan.
I placed an online order and the chicken and sides were wonderful as usual. The unpleasant surprise came when I opened my slice of pecan pie. To call this a slice of pie seems overly generous. If I perform the math by the square inch this pie cost me two dollars per square inch. Yes, folks for $4.90 it was that small of a slice of pie, and also not very symmetrical. I went in as a DoorDash delivery driver to pick up an order. I understand that there is a reputation that delivery drivers can be rude, so I always try my best to be very polite and patient. However, every employee that I spoke to was incredibly rude and dismissive. I sat waiting for the order for over 30 minutes as they said it was still being worked on. Best fried chicken I've had in a restaurant!!! Friendly service and blues playing in the background. Enjoyed my experience here. Highly recommend!
This is seriously good fried chicken- flavorful, not too spicy, not oily. I got the 2 piece white meat (a breast and a wing) and it was plenty of food. The coleslaw is excellent as were the beans. Drinks including beer are reasonably priced.
