Dr. Gunter is a condescending and rude individual who treated me with disrespect. After a 3 hour wait to see him, I got 5 minutes and left without any better knowledge of my condition. I provided a recent MRI which he reviewed by declined to describe the results in terms a non-medical person would understand. He now works for MUSC as a teaching practice and nothing today is representative of a positive medical experience. Shame on MUSC for hiring people who have such disregard for everyday people. Definitely on workers comp side. Treateded 5 years. Sent to Dr. GUNTER.. NO EXAMINATION. His diagnosis. Not caused from injury. Stated mri was not clear.

I had to have a laminectomy in March of 2019 and it was performed by Dr. Gunter, I can tell you this, this doctor was the best surgeon I could have had. He repaired 3 vertebrae with titanium plate and screws. When I came out of surgery I could swallow, speak and had no pain whatsoever. I was told prior to surgery that I could experience all three of these conditions and did not have any of them occur. I have healed and feel better than I ever had and now its two years later and feel just fine, thank you Dr. Gunter.
